One Piece Treasure Cruise is one of the more successful games based on the manga series created by Eiichiro Oda. After having been released in Japan only last year, from now on Western players will finally be able to enjoy a surprisingly enjoyable game which follows the manga and anime show storyline faithfully, with plenty of characters to collect, power up and evolve.
If you have been having some trouble with the game or just want to learn some of its basics, you have come to the right place, as this One Piece Treasure Cruise Cheats: Tips and Tricks guide will be helping you understand the game better and enjoy it more.
Rainbow Gems
Rainbow Gems are the main currency of the game, which can be used to recover stamina, expand the character box and recruit rare characters. As Rainbow Gems aren’t widely available, it’s always better to use them to recruit rare characters, as they really make a difference in more difficult battles.
Other than playing through specific events of the story or purchasing them through IAPs, it’s also possible to earn up to 5 Rainbow Gems when the game is downloading the next story segment by tapping the screen repeatedly.
Battle Timing
One Piece Treasure Cruise comes with a rather unique battle system where players must tap on the screen with the right timing to keep attacking the enemies with your characters. To deal the maximum amount of damage possible, you will need to tap the screen with perfect timing, which is easy to achieve if the next character’s icon is tapped a moment before the text on the battefield reaches the enemy.
Tandem Attacks
Tandem Attacks are special attacks which don’t get properly explained at the beginning of the game. With the right conbination iof characters, a TND icon might appear near characters. When tapped, players will have to choose characters in the right order to perform a devastating area attack which will defeat most regular enemies and deal huge amount of damage to bosses.
Upgrading the Ship
It’s possible to become more powerful by upgrading the ship. While later upgrades aren’t free, the first one is so make sure to take advantage of it if you’re still at the beginning of the game.
