In the past months a few games starring the popular SEGA mascot Sonic the Hedgehog have been released on the App Store. While these games are quite different than the classic entries of the series, they still are decent titles that fans of the characters have surely enjoyed. If you have liked the endless runner Sonic Dash, you will be happy to know that its sequel is going to be soon available for download on the App Store in all regions, as it’s now available in soft-launch mode on the Canadian App Store.

Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom plays pretty much like the original Sonic Dash, with players controlling Sonic as he runs through and endless stage collecting rings, avoding obstacles and more. The main difference with Sonic Dash is that the new game is based on the spin-off series Sonic Boom so Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom features some slightly different designs for locations and characters. Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom also features different playable characters, each one with his own unique ability.

With its gameplay experience being similar to the previous game, Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom is not a revolutionary title by any means. The Sonic Boom characters and locations may turn off some long time fans of Sonic the Hedgehog but if you have liked Sonic Dash, you will definitely appreciate the new game.

Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom is now available for download for free on the Canadian App Store.
