Fire up your thumbs, it’s time to drift! Thumb Drift is a simple one-touch drifitng game that you can control with only one finger! Take those corners as efficiently as possible, grab those coins, and become the ultimate drift king with the help of our Thumb Drift cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!
1. Small movements!
Keeping your finger under control is key to keeping your car in check! Never use full wide motions; small, gentle motions are enough to keep your drift going. Adding too much “spin” to your drift will send you in a constant swerve, as you’ll be trying to re-correct your trajectory. Small swipes are best!
2. Maybe ignore the coins?
We’ve found that in our experience, trying to go for the coins is just asking for trouble. Our best runs were just us concentrating on trying to make sure our car didn’t careen into the walls. Besides, you get a free car every couple of hours or so, so it’s not that big of a deal to get as many coins as you can. For your first couple of runs, until you get a comfortable feel for the drifting, it might be best for you to just ignore the coins altogether.
3. Memorize the levels!
At first, we thought the level layouts randomized with each run. Turns out, that’s not the case, at least with the first level! Gymkhana will always have the same layout no matter how many times you run it, so use this to your advantage. With a couple of runs, you’ll get most of the track embedded in your mind through rote memorization. Practice and persistence! Just keep in mind, the second level and up do randomize!
4. Complete the missions!
Instead of going for the coins, try just completing the missions. You’ll be given a mission when you start a run, and they will ask you to do things like go a certain distance, collect a certain amount of coins, and so forth. These missions are usually worth around 50 or so coins, so they’re worth your time to do them!
5. Come back for your free cars!
After you claim your first free car, the game will ask you if you want to enable notifications. You should turn them on so that you can claim your next free car as soon as possible! Keep the free cars rolling in!
6. Let go if you need to!
Remember! If you take your finger off, your car will slowly straighten out. If you’ve lost too much control and you’re in the middle of a gauntlet of turns, this might help. If you reset yourself quickly, you may be able to regain drift control of your car. It doesn’t always help, but it’s helpful to keep in mind!
