Pikmin Bloom uses a few different features to encourage people to get outside and walk, including growing new Pikmin, discovering resources and seedlings, and planting flowery paths. Players can grow these paths as they walk by planting petals that grow into colorful flowers. How does this work and how long do the paths last? Find out below!
Flower Trails in Pikmin Bloom
Flower trails can be planted by first collecting Nectar from Fruits gathered by your Pikmin. The Fruits are found as you walk or when you send your Pikmin on Expeditions. You can find all sorts of different Fruits: apples, oranges, blueberries, peaches, and lemons, among others. The Fruits then convert into Nectar of the corresponding color, and when it is fed to your Pikmin, they eventually grow colorful petals. Those petals can be gathered and saved for your next walk. The limit for Petal storage is 200 Petals, but you can buy upgrades in the store to help you gather and save more.
When you begin your walk, tap on the Flower icon and find the colored Petals you want to use. Tap the ‘play’ symbol to begin planting as you walk. You will plant around 2 to 3 petals per minute, and each petal is worth 33 flowers. The color of the Petals determines the color of the flowers you plant as you walk. They come in Red, Yellow, White, or Blue, and also come in different flower varieties such as Daisy, Pansy, Rose, or Tulip.
You will be able to see the different flowered paths of other Pikmin Bloom players as you walk, creating amazing displays together. The paths last around 5 days, so the areas that are highly populated get the most vibrant displays for longer as people keep planting together.
Good luck and happy planting!
