Ready for some Pool? 8 Ball Pool is the world’s most popular pool game on iOS. Challenge the world or your friends in this simple, easy to pick up and play version of pool. Don’t be fooled though, as there is a lot of room for skill. Customize your cue and table and take on the world with our 8 Ball Pool cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!
1. Watch the guidelines!
This is probably the most important tip you can keep in mind when playing 8 Ball Pool. Always keep your eyes on the cue guidelines! If you can estimate them sharply enough, they will guarantee a ball for you. If it helps, you can go into the options and change the sensitivity of your cue. If it’s set to slow, you can fine tune your guideline adjustments.
2. Don’t always use full power!
While it may always seem like the best option, hitting the ball with full power isn’t always the optimal thing to do. Before you commit to a shot, consider the angles that your ball is going to bounce at. Do you want your ball to travel a specific distance? Try to gauge how far the ball will go depending on the amount of power applied. This take a bit of practice, but once you get it down, you’ll quickly learn that mid or light power shots are sometimes better alternatives to full power.
3. Collect your free coins and free spins!
You get 25 coins for free every hour, so be sure to check back often to collect them. You need coins to play the game, so they’re very important! Also, you can play the minigame “Spin and Win” for free once every day. Spin and win can net you a ton of coins, so take advantage of it!
4. Need an edge? Try a new cue!
You can buy different cues in the shop. Cues come with four different stat categories:
- Force determines how hard your hits will be.
- Aim determines how accurate your balls will stick to the guidelines.
- Spin determines how well your shots will curve.
- Time increases the amount of time you have during your turn.
Most cues will have strengths in select categories and be lacking in the other categories. Of course, the super high-end cues ignore this rule, but they cost a ton of coins. Try to pick one that suits your playstyle!
5. Practice practice practice!
No matter how you spin it – excuse the pun – this game is simply just a classic game of pool. To refine your skills, consider playing the offline practice modes. Pass’n’Play functions just like a real match, except you play against the computer. This is good for sharpening your planning skills. Quickfire is just you trying to score as many balls as you can. This mode is good for honing your accuracy and cue skills. Consider taking a break if you’re losing too much against real players and practice offline.
With some time and practice, soon you’ll be skilled enough to become one of the best pool players in the world! If you’ve got any other pro tips or tricks to share with us, leave a comment below!
