Where To Get A Riolu
The only way you can get a Riolu in the game is by completing Riley’s quest on Iron Island, so make sure to go ahead and do that first. At the end of the quest, Riley will grant you a Riolu in the form of an unhatched egg. To hatch it, put it in your party and take many many steps. It’s easier to do this with a bike. In fact, you can even rapidly ride your bike in circles in order to speed up the process.
How To Evolve Riolu
When it hatches, your Riolu will be at level one. This will make developing its friendship easy because the more you level a Pokemon, the stronger you bond with it. Put it in your party as you battle with your other Pokemon and watch its levels spike quickly. In order to evolve it into a Lucario, you need to develop a high friendship with it. This is determined by how much you walk with it, how much you battle with it, how often it faints, etc., so it could take any amount of time to get there. At some point, it will become a Lucario when leveled up during the day. You can always use the Friendship Checker in your Poketch to see how many hearts it has.
