What do Bonus Wins do in Rocket League Sideswipe?

With Rocket League Sideswipe now released, the developers want to reward players who play both Sideswipe and the original Rocket League. They have done so in the form of “Bonus Wins,” but the game isn’t too clear on how they work. Today, we’ll show you what Bonus Wins do in Rocket League Sideswipe!

What do Bonus Wins do?

If you’re a diehard fan of the Rocket League franchise, you’re probably playing both the original game and Rocket League Sideswipe at the same time. You may have noticed a new experience bonus at the end of a match in the original Rocket League that you’ve never seen before, called the Sideswipe Bonus.

The Sideswipe Bonus grants you an extra 4,000 XP when you complete a match in the original Rocket League. You gain the Sideswipe Bonus every time you level up in Sideswipe, and it will apply to your next match. The bonus counts for only one match, so you’ll need to level up more in order to gain more bonuses.

Conversely, leveling up in Rocket League will give you a Bonus Win in Rocket League Sideswipe that grants you bonus XP at the end of a match. Though, some players have reported some issues with Rocket League Sideswipe applying the bonuses for some reason, so your mileage may vary.

In order for your Bonus Wins to transfer over to Rocket League from Rocket League Sideswipe, you’ll need to link your account to the same Epic Games account that you use for Rocket League. Once you do so, you should start receiving the Bonus Wins in Rocket League after leveling up in Rocket League Sideswipe.
