The Hokkaido Snow Festival originally made its debut in Hitman 2, but now the event has become a permanent addition to Hitman 3, allowing players to experience the event in a brand new way.

With the new event also came some brand new feats, including the Cold Surprise feat. Here’s how to complete it.

How to Complete the Cold Surprise Feat in Hokkaido Snow Festival in Hitman 3

Completing the Cold Surprise feat in the Hitman 3 Hokkaido Snow Festival Event involves killing the mission’s main target by drowning them. As such, you will have to somehow get the target close to water, and the easiest way to do this is by poisoning the target so that they will go to the bathroom, where you can drown them without being seen.

You can use a few tools to poison your target, like Guru’s Ematic Explosive Device or the Remote Emetic Gas Device. No matter which item you want to use, you will have to smuggle the item in. Given how the starting restaurant is close to both the target’s starting position and the smuggling point, you will want to get everything done in the mission’s starting area.

As soon as the mission begins, focus on getting the tool of your choosing by getting to the bathroom below, stealing the guard’s disguise to access the location where your tool has been smuggled to, then recovering your original disguise to get back to the restaurant.

After this is done, you will have to focus on finding your target to poison them. If you have been quick in getting the tool you need to complete this feat, you should find the target in the garden right by the restaurant. Even if the target isn’t in the garden, you can poison them pretty much anywhere, but you will have to make sure no one sees you.

If the target has been poisoned correctly, they will soon head to the nearest bathroom. Follow them without being seen, drown them as soon as the opportunity arises, and then reach the nearest exit to complete the feat.
