With the game being bigger than any other Pokemon game released so far, Pokemon Legends: Arceus’ file size can be a problem, especially for owners of the original Nintendo Switch model that only features 32 GB of internal storage space.

Here’s how much storage space Pokemon Legends: Arceus requires.

What is the File Size for Pokemon Legends: Arceus? – Answered

Pokemon Legends: Arceus’ file size is around 6GB, which is, everything considered, pretty small. Other open-world games on the system, like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, require over 10 GB of free storage space, so it’s undeniable that Game Freak did everything they could to keep the file size small.

Do note, however, that the 6GB file size doesn’t include any future update Pokemon Legends: Arceus may receive in the future. As additional content, and possibly DLC expansions, may release in the future, the required storage space may increase. As such, you should consider purchasing an SD card to increase your Switch’s storage space, and be able to bring all your favorite games with you at all times.
