Pokemon GO Lunar New Year 2022: Timed Research Tasks and Rewards

Pokemon GO Lunar New Year 2022 event is finally here and players now have access to a bunch of Pokemon that will be appearing more frequently in the wild. Apart from this, Nintendo has also introduced various bonuses and raid battles as a part of the event.

The Lunar New Year 2022 event will continue in Pokemon GO until Feb. 7 and players can work through several timed research tasks and grab free rewards. Hence, in this article, we’ll be looking at the complete list of event research tasks along with their rewards.

Lunar New Year 2022: Friendship Challenge Tasks & Rewards

• Send 5 Gifts and add a sticker to each – Torchic encounter
• Trade 3 Pokemon with a friend – Corphish encounter
• Send 15 Gifts to friends – Darumaka encounter
• Send Gifts 3 days in a row – Unknown encounter

Rewards: Pokémon encounter, 1,000 Stardust, and 1,000 XP.

Catch Challenge

• Catch 10 Pokemon – 10x Poke Balls
• Catch 25 Pokemon – 15x Great Balls
• Catch 25 Fire type Pokemon – 20x Ultra Balls
• Catch 10 different species of Pokemon – Litleo encounter

Rewards: Espurr encounter, 1,000 XP, 1,000 Stardust

Field Research

• Catch five Pokemon: 25 Gyarados Mega Energy
• Catch five Pokemon: Darumaka encounter
• Make three Curveball Throws: Voltorb encounter
• Send three gifts: Magikarp encounter
• Send three gifts and add a sticker to each: Litleo encounter
• Trade a Pokemon: Litleo encounter
• Win a raid: Espurr encounter
