Dead by Daylight is a first-person survival horror game that sees four different survivors banding together to fight off one ruthless Killer. The Killer is stronger than the Survivors, making it tough to take him/her down, while the Survivors are significantly weaker, but are plenty in number.
This 4v1 survival-style gameplay saw a lot of positive reviews from fans and critics alike, leading the game to be ported onto various platforms. One of people’s concerns before jumping into the game is whether Dead by Daylight has crossplay as a feature, considering how the gameplay is fully multiplayer-based.
Is Cross-Platform Gameplay Available in Dead by Daylight?
Since August 2020, Dead by Daylight has been cross-platform compatible, giving players the opportunity to link up with friends and play some fun and thrilling matches together, or against each other, if you end up playing as the Killer!
Dead by Daylight is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Stadia, so players owning any of these consoles or platforms can easily team up with each other and play together to their heart’s content.
Is Dead by Daylight Crossplay Available for Mobile?
Unfortunately, mobile players cannot crossplay with other players playing the console or PC versions of the game. This is simply because Dead by Daylight Mobile and the original version are simply not compatible with each other.
That being said, players with different mobile operating systems, such as iOS and Android can most definitely play with each other, and should face no restrictions in terms of gameplay or functionality.
