How to Use Armadas in Star Trek: Fleet Command

Star Trek Fleet Command is a 4X “explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate” mobile strategy game created by Irish developer Digit Game Studios and published by Scopely and CBS Interactive. Players have the freedom to explore star systems, build ships, mine resources, level up, complete missions, join alliances and battle other players via PvP.

The game follows the Kelvin timeline from the Star Trek franchise, and includes iconic characters from the series: Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Sulu, Uhura, Nero and more! Players can collect and upgrade characters and deploy them on ships for an RPG role-playing game-style element as well.

Today we will be talking about Armadas, a feature that was in development for quite a while but finally came out in 2019.

Armadas

Star Trek Fleet Command introduced Armadas in 2019, a feature that allows players to band together with members of their Alliance to create a force much greater than they could individually, in order to take down tougher enemies they previously could not.

To create Armadas, the player needs to build an Armada Control Center. They are available to build at Ops level 23.

How to Use Armadas

To start Armada attacks, the Armada Control Center building needs to be fully operational in the player’s station. Starting at Ops level 23, this building needs to be unlocked through a research node named “Unlock Armada Control Center” in the station research tree, which requires a resource called Armada Tactical Cores.

To start an Armada attack, the players require Armada Directives, which can be acquired from the Alliance Store after upgrading the Armada Control Center as well as from some Daily Goals rewards or purchased from the store. Following this, all of the players involved in the Armada attack need to have a ship idle within the attack zone of the Armada target.

Starting the attack on the target will create an Armada Pin on the system map and all players involved in Armada will target the enemy. Rewards for beating Armada targets are massive and we recommend everyone to try out this new feature.
