When downloading Valorant, many players may experience a wide variety of errors. Some of them are the fault of the players themselves and their hardware, while others are the fault of the developers. In this guide, we will tell you how to fix black, blue, and gray screens in Valorant.
Blue Screen in Valorant
A blue screen in Valorant appears for players at the start. The game may not load and only a blue screen may be seen. This problem could arise for several reasons. Therefore, if you have a blue screen in Valorant when launching, we recommend that you restart your PC. Sometimes this does not help and then you need to do the following:
- Open program through Win + X;
- Find Riot Vanguard in the list;
- Delete it;
- Open the game so that it automatically downloads the anti-cheat;
- Restart your PC.
Reinstalling the anti-cheat should help you fix the problem and get rid of the problem and you won’t face a blue screen in Valorant.

Black Screen in Valorant
The black screen when launching Valorant can occur for the same reason as the blue one – a conflict between your hardware and anti-cheat. Therefore, we again recommend that you reboot your PC. In some cases, more than a one-time rebooting helps solve this problem. After 3-4 reboots, the black screen in Valorant may no longer appear.
Second, make sure you’re using the 64-bit version, as that’s the only way to play the game.
Gray Screen in Valorant
The gray screen in Valorant occurs for the same reason as the previous problems – Riot Vanguard anti-cheat. Besides previous step, we recommend that you do the following:
- Reboot the PC (sometimes you need to do this 3-4 times);
- Check for new drivers for your video card;
If you have a gray screen in Valorant (blue or black) and our recommendations did not help you, we recommend that you contact technical support directly, and they, in turn, will answer and help you.
