Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released last month after much fanfare and hype. It is the latest installment in the Pokémon series and takes a much different turn than its predecessors do in terms of storytelling and game mechanics.
The game takes place in the ancient Hisui region, which would become modern-day Sinnoh. Fighting and capturing Pokémon is drastically different with battles taking place on the overworld instead of turn-based instance battles, as was the staple of the series thus far.
Another departure from the core gameplay elements is the addition of missions from general RPGs. The Pokémon series generally followed a linear plot progression system until now, where storied missions and requests play a major part in the plot. One such story is that of the Arceus Plates, namely, the Plate of Prelude Beach.
The Plate of Prelude Beach
The Plate of Prelude Beach is the 25th mission in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It involves the player encountering one of the Arceus Plates.
To start off, this mission begins in Jubilife Village. From there, head on to Prelude Beach where the Galaxy Team’s Commander Kamado will be waiting on the pier. Turns out that he is in possession of the Plate, and to get it from him, players will have to defeat him in battle once more!
Commander Kamado
This time around, Commander Kamado is considerably stronger than he was in the last fight on top of Mount Coronet.
This time around, his team consists of:
- Level 65 Hisuian Braviary
- Level 65 Golem
- Level 65 Snorlax
- Level 65 Clefable
- Level 65 Heracross
The notable change he has made to his team is the addition of the Heracross, apart from every Pokémon being at a whopping level 65! The fight should be intense, but by this point, most trainers should be strong enough to beat him.
Upon his defeat, the player will be rewarded with the Plate of Prelude Beach: The Fist Plate! This is but one of many Arceus Plates in this game, so we wish you happy hunting!
