Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires allow you to forge some lasting bonds with your fellow officers, and in some cases even enter a brotherhood and marry.
By marrying a character, you will also be able to get a child. Here’s everything you need to know about child characters and how they differ from established characters and custom-created ones.
How to Have a Child in Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires
In Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires, it is possible to have children only at the end of a Conquest Mode scenario, and only if certain conditions are met. For starters, you will need to get married, which isn’t too difficult if you focus on interacting with the character you want to marry with at every possible occasion to raise your relationship level with them. Additionally, your partner will need to be alive at the end of the scenario, so take extreme care when bringing them with you into battle, especially if you are playing at difficulties like Hard and Chaos.
If these conditions have been met, you will get a cutscene at the end of a scenario that will confirm you had a child with your spouse. Child characters are added to the roster of custom characters, and their appearance can be changed, in case you do not like the one the game generated for you. Unlike regular custom characters, however, you will not be able to change the child’s Ability Type, which will be picked randomly, and Weapon Proficiencies, which will be inherited from one of the parents. Child characters also have unique interactions with their parents, and a naturally high relationship level, which makes obtaining high-quality gems and artifacts considerably easier.
