Monster Hunter Rise has been released almost a year ago on Nintendo Switch, but it seems like Capcom is not yet ready to move on, as the Japanese developer is continuing to support the game with new content and updates that improve the experience.
The latest update for the popular game is going live on February 24, and Capcom shared more information on it today. Here’s everything you need to know about update 3.9.0
Monster Hunter Rise 3.9.0 Update: Full Patch Notes
The Monster Hunter Rise 3.9.0 update is mostly focused on fixing bugs and issues still present in the game, but it also adds support for additional paid and free content that will hit the game soon.
The new update introduces support for new Event Quests that will become available every week, as well as support for new paid DLC, including a new DLC Voice Pack which you can preview thanks to a few videos shared by Capcom on YouTube.
Alongside introducing support for new free and paid DLC, the Monster Hunter Rise 3.9.0 addresses a variety of issues and bugs. You can learn more about these fixes by taking a look at the official patch notes below, courtesy of Capcom.
Main Additions / Changes
- New Event Quests will be available every week.

Bug Fixes / Miscellaneous
Base/Facility
- When changing the direction of the Toadversary at the Training Area, the text usually turns yellow, but if the player changes another option after that, the “direction” text would sometimes turn back to white. This has been fixed.
Player/Buddies
- Fixed a bug preventing the “Utsushi Cut” hairstyle from being displayed properly when combined with certain head armor.
- Fixed a bug preventing forelocks from being displayed properly when equipping the head armor of the Orion layered armor series.
- Fixed a bug with the display of the Azure Age Sleeve on Body Type 2.
- Fixed a bug causing the “Rampage Twinblades I” to be displayed in the opposite direction if the players uses a whetstone after equipping them.
- Fixed a bug very briefly causing the player’s upper body to turn in an unnatural direction when another player uses Wyvern’s Fire during Multiplayer.
Miscellaneous
- Fixed a bug preventing other players from accessing certain facilities if the Host is disconnected because no controller inputs were made for a certain amount of time.
- Fixed various text bugs.
- Other miscellaneous bug fixes have been made.
