How to Catch Landorus in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released last month after much fanfare and hype. It is the latest installment in the Pokémon series and takes a much different turn than its predecessors do in terms of storytelling and game mechanics.

The game takes place in the ancient Hisui region, which would become modern-day Sinnoh. Fighting and capturing Pokémon is drastically different with battles taking place on the overworld instead of turn-based instance battles, as was the staple of the series thus far.

Included in the 242 Pokémon in Legends: Arceus are Legendary Pokémon from older generations. Today, we will be shining the spotlight on Landorus and its appearance in the game.

Landorus

Landorus is a Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation 5’s games of Pokémon Black and White. Referred to as the Force of Nature Pokémon alongside Thundurus and Tornadus, it is a part of the Legendary Trio of Gen 5.

Being a Legendary Pokémon, pinpointing its location down is going to be the hardest part for players. Like Thundurus and Tornadus, Landorus is tied to the “Incarnate Forces of Hisui” request and it will only spawn after Giratina’s defeat. It is also tied to the game’s main story and players will eventually run into it at some point.

So where does Landorus spawn on the overworld?

The location to go to find Landorus would be the Obsidian Fieldlands. It can be found at points in and around Ramanas Island. Unlike Thundurus and Tornadus, Landorus does not require any specific weather for it to spawn; it can be found at all times at level 70 out on Ramanas Island.

After finding Landorus, the troublesome part will be getting close to it because it will try to run away and throw tornadoes at any approaching threat. For best results, we recommend staying in the tall grass and using them to sneak up on Landorus to enter combat with it.

Catching Landorus will bring players one step closer to completing the “Incarnate Forces of Hisui” request!
