Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released last month after much fanfare and hype. It is the latest installment in the Pokémon series and takes a much different turn than its predecessors do in terms of storytelling and game mechanics.
The game takes place in the ancient Hisui region, which would become modern-day Sinnoh. Fighting and capturing Pokémon is drastically different with battles taking place on the overworld instead of turn-based instance battles, as was the staple of the series thus far.
Included in the 242 Pokémon in Legends: Arceus are some Pokémon that are stronger than the rest and have even stronger evolutions, some of them requiring special methods to evolve than just mere level-ups. Evolutionary stones were brought back in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and today we will be talking about the Water Stone.
Water Stone
The Water Stone is an evolution item introduced in the Gen-1 games of Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow. Its sole purpose is to make certain species of Water-type Pokémon evolve into their final forms that they could not normally reach through other means.
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, there is only one Pokémon that benefits from the Water Stone: Eevee. To evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, a Water Stone has to be used on it. But how does one acquire it?
Getting Water Stones
There are a variety of ways by which players can acquire Water Stones in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
- Request reward from Flaro’s Eevee Evolution request
- Random chance drop in Space-Time Distortion Rift Fields
- Purchasable from Ginter’s Specials for 5,000 Pokédollars
- Purchasable from the Trading Outpost for 1,000 Merit Points
Since there are a variety of ways to acquire the Water Stone, it should not pose too much of a problem to players!
