Parental Guidance is a new Perk in Dead by Daylight, appropriately belonging to the new Survivor, Yoichi Asakawa. Perks grant your Survivors special abilities, and they can change the way you play the game. Today, we’ll be looking at what the Parental Guidance Perk is in Dead by Daylight!
Parental Guidance Perk
Parental Guidance is one of Yoichi Asakawa’s Perks. He unlocks the Teachable Variant once he reaches level 30. The in-game description for Parental Guidance is:
- You have inherited the ability to hear the dead — and now the dead warn you of danger.
- After stunning the Killer by any means, Parental Guidance suppresses your Scratch Marks, Pools of Blood, and Grunts of Pain for the next 5/6/7 seconds.

Parental Guidance is the perfect Perk for Survivors who love to narrowly escape their impending doom. Whenever you stun the Killer with a Pallet or an item like a Flashbang, all normal clues to help the Killer track you down are suppressed.
This effectively means that you can do whatever you want to get away from the Killer without worrying about them tracking you down. You can sprint around freely without having to worry about the scratch marks left on the ground, and if you’re injured, you won’t leave behind any blood trails or yelp out in pain occasionally.
That’s what the Parental Guidance Perk does in Dead by Daylight. If you have any other questions, let us know in the comments below!
