How to Unlock Event Battles in Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires

While Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is all about creating your own story, there are ways to make the unification of China play out as it did in real history. This is done by triggering Event Battles.

There are four different Event Battles in Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires. Here are all the conditions to unlock them.

How to Unlock Event Battles in Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires

As mentioned above, Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires features four different Event Battles that can be played only after certain conditions are met. These conditions aren’t arbitrary, as they are meant to recreate the same events that happened in real history.

• For the Alliance Against Dong Zhuo, you need to have Dong Zhuo as a ruler, have him control Luoyang, and shelter the Emperor. Cao Cao and Yun Shao must also be rulers. These conditions have to be recreated between January 191 and December 193 for the Even Battle to trigger.
• For the Battle of Guandu, Yuan Shao must be a ruler, and control Guangzong, Hebei and Ye. Cao Cao must also be a ruled and he has to control Luoyang, Puyang and Xuchang. These conditions have to be recreated between April 200 and December 202.
• For the Battle of Chibi, Cao Cao has to be a ruler and control Xiangyang, Xuchang and Wan. Lui Bei must also be ruled and control Jiangling. Sun Quan also has to be a rule and control Jianye, Huiji and Poyang. Zhou Yu must also be an officer of Sun Quan’s army. These conditions have to be met between June 208 and December 210.
• For the Battle of Wuzhang Plains, Cao Cao, Cao Pi or Cao Rui must be rulers and control Xiangyang, Xuchang and Wan, and Sima Yi must be an officer in any of these kingdoms. Liu Bei or Liu Shan must be rulers and have to control Chengdu, Hanzhong, and Tianshui, and Zhuge Liang must be an officer of any of these kingdoms. These conditions have to be recreated between June 228 and December 231.
