Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a role-playing video game developed and published by Jam City under license from Portkey Games. The game is set in the Wizarding World and based on the Harry Potter novels written by J.K. Rowling.
The game was released for Android and iOS on April 25, 2018. Players praised its free-roam settings throughout Hogwarts with an underlying original plot looming in the background. There are a lot of entertaining features added in between the main story to make the game more engaging for players.
One of the features recently introduced in the game in 2020 was the addition of Notebooks.
Notebooks
Notebooks are items in the game used to buy pets, dormitory furniture, and adopt magical creatures in the Magical Creatures Reserve environments. They are earned in a lot of ways around the game. They can also be used to study with friends in the library (after year 3).
There are four different kinds of Notebooks available in the game:
- Brown Notebooks
- Red Notebooks
- Blue Notebooks
- Gold Notebooks
Each Notebook type is used as currency to purchase something different in Hogwarts Mystery. Today we will be talking about Red Notebooks and their usage.
Red Notebooks
Red notebooks are utilized for purchasing creatures exclusively. They can be acquired via:
- Bundles from the Shop
- Daily Planner
- Status Up (Leveling up certain Magical Creatures)
- Getting Stars in Classes
- Limited-Time Events
Just like the Blue and Gold Notebooks, which have to do with purchasing different types of creatures in the Magical Creatures Reserve, Red notebooks are used for the same purpose. The easier to acquire creatures specifically need only Red Notebooks sometimes, so it’s key to stack up as many of these as possible to acquire all the creatures in the Reserve.
