To survive and reproduce, wars between animals take place frequently in nature. In The Ants: Underground Kingdom, players take charge of their own Anthill, lead the Queen, grow the colony, and defend against enemies. For the glory and prosperity of the ant empire, players must display their own strategies and resourcefulness.

In The Ants, the only way to keep the colony strong is by using troops. The greater variety of troops, the better to work with. Today we will be talking about the different kinds of troops in the game and how best to settle them in formations that benefit them.

Using Troop Formations

Tap the X2 Swords icon in the top-left to open the formation screen. There, players can assign one special ant and their ant troops.

The number of ant troops that players can assign in a formation slot depends on the special ant. So if players want to send more ant troops on a march, they need to upgrade the level of Special ants or their skill if it affects the troop cap.

The more troops in a march, the more the troop load, so players need to find a balance. High troop load also means that players can gather more resources outside the nest.

Tapping on the nest icon in the lower-right corner and then on the search icon button in the lower-left will allow players to send formation march orders to fight either the Ladybug, Locust, Snail, Orb Weaver, Termite Hill, or the Lizard.

Formation marches can also be used to gather resources from the Woodclouse Colony, Bush, Wet Soil Pipe, and Sand Pile, as well as Diamonds.
