Kirk Gibson
Kirk Gibson was crowned the National League MVP in 1988 while with the Dodgers. During his entire career, he hit two iconic home runs in the World Series, which were off of two eventual Hall of Fame relief pitchers. He clinched the title in Game Five with a three-run homer off Goose Gossage with the Tigers in 1994.
He was named to the All-Star team twice, in 1985 and 1988.
Ryan Howard
Commonly known for being the three-time NL All-Star in the years 2006, 2009, and 2010, Ryan Howard also won the Hank Aaron Award, Silver Slugger Award, as well as the NL Championship Series MVP Award in 2009.
Joe Mauer
Joe Mauer played in the MLB for a long run of 15 years, playing solely for the Twins. He has achieved some serious accomplishments, a few notable ones being the 2009 American League Most Valuable Player, 3-time Golden Glove winner, winning 3 batter’s titles, and 5 Silver Slugger awards, in addition to being the cover athlete for MLB The Show 10 and 11.
Mike Mussina
The starting pitcher Mike “Moose” Mussina was recently elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2019, his sixth year of eligibility.
Mussina’s entire career saw him playing in the American League East with a career .638 winning percentage, winning at least 11 games in 17 consecutive seasons, which stands as an American League record.
Chase Utley
Commonly called “The Man” and “Silver Fox,” Chase played the role of second baseman in the MLB for 16 whole seasons, mainly for the Philadelphia Phillies. Chase is a six-time All-Star, winning a World Series in 2008 with the Phillies.
Randy Johnson
In 22 entire seasons, Randy Johnson led his league in strikeouts nine times, earned four ERA titles in addition to recording 100 complete games to go along with 37 shutouts. He was named to 10 All-Star Games while earning four starts, the second-best total of all-time.
Justin Morneau
Justin majorly played for the Twins in his 14 years of a career. He won the 2006 American League Most Valued Player Award, the 2008 Home Derby, the 2014 batting title, as well as two Silver Slugger Awards.
