What is Overshield Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2?

Upon jumping out from the Battle Bus, every player gets an Overshield. This small health shield icon on your HUD is basically an additional armor that will take the first few bits of damage. Overshield can be considered as a health mechanism that gives players a few extra bits of health.

How does Overshield work in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2?

Each player gets a 50 health Overshield that recharges automatically, once the player stops taking damage. This means that your Overshield will take the first few hits before your shields or health, thus improving your overall damage taking ability. The new Overshield feature in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 also increases the max health of players up to 250 from the previous 200. However, once you start getting attacked, the Overshield will deplete, meaning any further damage will either deplete your shield or health.
