Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a role-playing video game developed and published by Jam City under license from Portkey Games. The game is set in the Wizarding World and is based on the Harry Potter novels written by J.K. Rowling.
The game was released for Android and iOS on April 25, 2018. Players praised its free-roam settings throughout Hogwarts with an underlying original plot looming in the background. There are a lot of entertaining features added in between the main story to make the game more engaging for players.
As it exists in the magical world, Potions have been an important tool for witches and wizards since ancient times when magic was first introduced to the wizarding world. Today we will be talking about one of the potions in the game and how to brew it, named the Wideye Potion.
Wideye Potion
The Wideye Potion, also known as the Awakening Potion, was a potion that prevented the drinker from falling asleep. The potion could also be used to awaken someone from a drugged or groggy state or even a concussion.
The Wideye Potion also acts as an antidote for, and a counteracting agent to, the Draught of Living Death. Its recipe could be found in Magical Drafts and Potions, and this is how players can make it in Hogwarts Mystery.
Wideye Potion Recipe
Simply put, the recipe requires these ingredients:
- Snake fangs
- Standard Ingredient
- Dried Billywig Stings
- Wolfsbane
After acquiring these ingredients, brewing them in this manner in two easy steps will finish the potion.
Step one: Add 6 Snake fangs to the mortar, add 4 measures of Standard Ingredient to the mortar, add 6 Dried Billywig Stings in the cauldron, heat at a medium temperature for 30 seconds. Finally, crush the ingredients that are on the mortar, add 4 measures of the crushed ingredients to the cauldron, stir 3 times, clockwise, wave the wand and leave to brew.
Step two: Add 2 sprigs of Wolfsbane to the cauldron, stir 3 times, anti-clockwise, wave the wand to complete the potion.
(Although Hogwarts Mystery does not really have a brewing minigame, as a Harry Potter nerd, I felt like sharing the brewing method so we can all have a bonding moment.)
