While most games feature a limited number of playable characters and a single ending, the second entry in the Chrono series features over 40 playable characters, some of them available only in certain story paths, and multiple endings.

How Many Endings are in Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition?

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition features 12 different endings, but not all of them can be unlocked during your first playthrough, as you will need to play through the game again in New Game Plus mode to unlock most of them.

In your first Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition playthrough, you can only unlock two different endings. The first one can be unlocked by defeating the final boss without using the Chrono Cross, and the second one by using it, which can be a little challenging if you do not have a good grasp of some of the game’s combat mechanics.

After completing the game, regardless of the ending, you will unlock New Game Plus. In this mode, you will be able to fight against the Time Devourer at any time, and doing so before or after certain events will unlock the remaining 10 endings.
