There will be some heavy spoilers past this point, so avoid reading if you haven’t experienced the events in Fort Dragonia yet.

How to Play as The Secret Bosses in Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition

Shortly after Serge loses his body, and is forced to live inside Lynx’s, he will be joined by Sprigg, a weird old lady who comes with a bad Element Grid but an amazing ability called Doppelgang which allows her to turn into different monsters.

Normally, Sprigg cannot turn into bosses, but there are three exceptions: the three secret bosses. So, to be able to use Ozzie, Flea, and Slash in battle, you will have to bring Sprigg to the fight against them and deal the finishing blow with her to each of the bosses to make it possible for the old lady to turn into either of them. If you have found the Forget-Me-Not Pot, however, you can equip it to any character in your party and deal the finishing blow with them to unlock the three secret bosses as Doppelgang options without being forced to bring Sprigg with you.
