In the past few months, plenty of roguelike games have been released on the App Store, many of them offering unique experiences that broke the boundaries of the genre in very interesting ways. Another one of these very interesting roguelike games is going to be released sometime this year on iOS devices, a game that will combine the classic roguelike experience with features from other genres.
The new game will be called Imbroglio. The game, which is in development by Michael Brough, the man behind games such as 868-Hack and Helix, is a roguelike game where players will have to survive a dangerous labyrinth filled with dangers by building a card deck. As in other card games, players will be able to choose between a huge variety of cards coming with different properties. As the dungeon is constantly changing, players will have to adapt with using different decks. This features alone will elevate the game from the competition, as the Imbroglio experience promises to be as varied as possible.
Imbroglio will be released on a yet to be confirmed release date on the App Store. We’ll keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
