At this point in time, there’s no doubt that you’ve heard of Wordle, whether it’s been through a friend or on social media. The word puzzle game exploded in popularity over the last few months, mostly due to how easy it is to pick up and play, with a new puzzle every day for the most diehard fans. But, what if you miss a day? Is there a way to play earlier puzzles? Today, we’ll show you how to play previous Wordle puzzles!
How to Play Previous Wordle Puzzles
A big part of the reason Wordle keeps its players coming back for more is that there is a new puzzle to solve every day. Not only that, but The New York Times hasn’t implemented a way to play previous puzzles on days that you may have missed, so there’s a big feeling of missing out.
This in turn has caused the Wordle community to create their own ways of accessing previous Wordle puzzles. Since no one really knew how to play the previous puzzles, there was quite the demand for it, so many unofficial websites popped up that allowed players to play past Wordle puzzles. There’s quite a few of them now, but today we’ll be looking at the two best sites in our opinion.
The first site is Wordle Archive. If you’ve ever looked up a way of playing past Wordle puzzles, this is the website that probably comes up the most. It was one of the first big websites created to play older Wordle puzzles. You can choose a specific puzzle to play, or you can let the website pick a random one for you.

The second site is ReWordle. This one comes from GitHub user infinite-sword, and it functions pretty much exactly like Wordle Archive, as it lets you choose puzzles from specific days. The only thing it’s missing is a random option.
It’s important to note that these websites may not be around forever. If you’re familiar with fan made Wordle websites, you might remember Devang Thakkar’s Wordle archive. Thakkar’s project was one of the first big Wordle archives, but unfortunately The New York Times asked him to take down the website, and he respectfully obliged.
So, now that you know how to play previous Wordle puzzles, we recommend you get your fill in before The New York Times decide they want to start taking down fan sites again. If you have any other questions about Wordle, please let us know in the comments below!
