While sharing its name with the console and PC game, Apex Legends Mobile is very different from the original battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment. Sure, the mobile game features some of the Legends we have seen in the original game, but Apex Legends Mobile features so many different gameplay mechanics that it can stand on its own without too many troubles.

Among the mechanics that both Apex Legends Mobile and the main console and PC game shared are ordnances. Here’s how to use them in the mobile game.

How to Use Ordnance in Apex Legends Mobile

Ordnance in Apex Legends Mobile are a special type of throwable items that have different effects and thus different uses. In the mobile game, there are three ordnances that can be used by all Legends, and four ones that are specific to three Legends – Bangalore, Caustic and Gibraltar.

The three ordnances that can be used by all Legends in Apex Legends Mobile are Arc Star, Frag Grenade and Thermite Grenade.

Arc Star – This ordnance can latch onto anything on impact, triggers an energy burst after three seconds that drains all shields, stuns enemies for five seconds and deals 70 damage.

Frag Grenade – This ordnance unleashes an explosion with decent area of effect four seconds after it has been thrown. Deals between 1 and 100 damage.

Thermite Grenade – This ordnance unleashes a well of fire that deals 25 damage over 3 seconds.

Bangalore

Creeping Barrage – This ordnance unleashes an artillery strike on an area which deals 100 damage while slowing movement and reducing visibility.

Smoke Grenade – This ordnance unleashes a smokescreen that reduces visibioity while dealing 10 damage to opponents.

Gibraltar

Mortar Bombardment – This ordnance unleashes a mortar attack that deals damage to opponents while slowing movement and reducing visibility.

Caustic

Nox Gas Grenade – This ordnance unleashes an area gas attack that damages enemies while slowing movement and reducing visibility. Caustic is not affected by the gas attack, so his visibility and movement speed are not reduced.
