You can follow the below optimization methods and different checks to increase your FPS while playing Valorant. 

Update Your Graphics Card Driver

Download and update the latest supported driver for your graphics card based on the make. Once done updating, restart the PC or Laptop. 

Disable Full-Screen Optimization

You can disable the Full-Screen Optimization for Valorant to get an FPS boost. You can do it by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Go to your Valorant game directory. Find Valorant exe file and right-click on it, and select the Properties option. 
    • If you have the game icon on the desktop, you can perform the steps from there too.

  • Go to the Compatibility tab and click on the check box located beside Disable Full-Screen Optimization option.

Override High DPI Settings

In the same Compatibility tab, at the bottom portion—you will find a button that says “Change high DPI settings.” Click on it and then select the check box located beside the option “Override high DPI Scaling behavior, Scaling Performed by: Application” under the High DPI Scaling override option. 

Optimize the Game Graphics Settings

You can turn down the game resolution and other settings like Texture Quality, Shadows, Anti-Aliasing, and similar Video Settings to get a massive boost in FPS. 

Download and Install Razer Cortex

Once done with the above things, we recommend you download and install Razor Cortext and run Valorant via it. What it does is—closes the unnecessary applications and background processes and make sure the game is getting more processing power from your PC or Laptop. 

Valorant is currently available on PC and Steam Deck, with a Mobile version of the game being in development.
