Players of Star Trek: Fleet Command may have noticed a strange building pop up in their Station. This mysterious Subspace Relay appears to be of unknown origin, and to use it, you require the Subspace Relay Key. Today, we’ll show you how to get the Subspace Relay Key in Star Trek: Fleet Command!
Acquiring the Subspace Relay Key in Star Trek: Fleet Command
In the Star Trek universe, Subspace Relays are structures designed to send and receive subspace communications. Subspace Relays are usually a part of a larger network, and they would send messages to other Relays on the network.
In Star Trek: Fleet Command, if you’re at least level 25, the game will prompt you that the Subspace Relay Building is now available for construction. However, to actually use it, you’ll need a Subspace Relay Key.
If you read Scopely’s news announcement about the building, you’ll learn that the Subspace Relay Keys aren’t actually in the game yet. That is to say, there is no way to earn them just yet. Missions that reward players with Subspace Relay Keys will be added at a later date.
So, what does the Subspace Relay Building actually do? They were created in response to the looming threat of the Infinite Incursion, so players will be able to receive the following buffs once they construct and activate their Subspace Relay Building:
- Increased defense platform damage
- Increased warp speed
- Increased ship hull health

Infinite Incursions are special events that allow players to invade rival servers or defend your home turf. Whoever comes out on top will receive a powerful buff that is effective across the entire server.
Many players are speculating that when the building releases proper, the keys will be a reward for completing the Incursion events. Since the Incursion is tied to the Subspace Relay Building itself, this is probably correct.
That concludes our guide on how to get the Subspace Relay Key in Star Trek: Fleet Command. If you have any other questions about the building, let us know in the comments below!
