This week is pretty light in terms of amazing games released on the App Store and it makes a bit of sense because last week had quite a few top notch releases. Even so, we still have a bunch of great games that we should download and play! Just like we do every week, we’re here to recommend these games and I am sure you’ll be really satisfied with our selection.
This week’s best new iOS games are Head of State, Submerged, Skyhill and Vertigo Racing: a nice mix of genres and a bit of everything for everybody. Let’s not waste a single second and let’s check them out below!
1. Head of State
A really good indie game that you can read out more about in our review. If you don’t want to, here’s a short summary: you’ll have to take over a fictional country by choosing the right policies at the right time, by winning the support of your people and knowing when to get a good bodyguard (among many other things). A really good game, so click here to download it.
2. Submerged: Miku and the Sunken City
You take on the role of Miku, a young girl who has brought her wounded brother to the city in their small fishing boat. Navigate the flooded city streets by boat, scale the drowned buildings, and use your telescope to scour the city for the supplies needed to save your dying sibling. A game we’ve been waiting for quite some time now and a real gem! Download it on the App Store.
3. Skyhill
There are mutants everywhere, and they’re eager to rip you to shreds with their vicious claws. But they aren’t your only problem: Your supplies are running out. You have to leave your luxurious penthouse and search for food. Walking through the skyscraper means going through hell. There is danger around every corner and death is a steady companion. Intrigued? You should be, because this is another great game from Daedalic Entertainment. Click here to download it.
4. Vertigo Racing
Chillingo throws at us a really good racing game this week. Put your pedal to the metal and hurtle through stunningly vertiginous landscapes in gorgeous 50s automobiles! Travel as far and as fast as you can without falling to your destruction. Many customization options, among other things, await you in this freemium game so click here to give it a try.
These would be our top recommendations for the week. It’s been a pretty dry week otherwise, both in terms of Premium as well as free game releases, but these four amazing games should keep you busy for a while. Which one’s your favorite?
