Is Disney Speedstorm Free to Play? Answered

Disney Speedstorm is currently in early access before its official full release in early 2024, but before it arrives, players have some important questions about the final version of the game. How many racers are there? Is my favorite character included? (Ursula would make a fierce competitor!) And is the game going to be free to play at launch?

Is Disney Speedstorm free to play?

When Disney Speedstorm is launched officially, it will be free to play on every platform, with the option to purchase the Golden Pass for extra rewards and cosmetics, and premium content. The Golden Pass is much like any other battle pass system, which awards the player currency and cosmetics as you level up.

Early Access is currently live, and players can purchase a Founder’s Pack to be one of the first to experience the game before it is launched. The packs come in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate levels, each granting various benefits such as in-game currency, racers, and Golden Pass Credits. The packs can be bought for whatever platform you are on, and prices range from $29.99 to $69.99.

The final release of Disney Speedstorm also has a Shop, where various cosmetics and loot boxes will be available. Loot Boxes contain the in-game currency Shards, which allow you to unlock new Racers—great news for players who have their eyes on their favorite racer!
