Dream Shard is one of the most critical resources in Disney Dreamlight Valley that players need for completing quests, giving them as Gifts to Merlin, and sometimes crafting Purified Night Shard and a few others. This guide will help to learn how to get Dream Shards in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Get Dream Shards in Disney Dreamlight Valley

During our playthrough, we found three ways of obtaining Dream Shards in Disney Dreamlight Valley: the first method is removing Night Thorns around the Dream Valley, and the second will require you to feed Critters in the Dream Valley. Each biome has its unique Critter, with five variants based on the color.

That said, the last method includes obtaining Dream Shards from your in-game Mailbox that you will find on the left side of your house in the Plaza area. You should also know that Gameloft has confirmed that there is a bug with the spawn rate of Dream Shards around the Dream Valley in Disney Dreamlight Valley; it’s a game balance issue that they are trying to fix. 

But since the game has quests that need Dream Shards to progress, the devs gave the entire player base free Dream Shards via in-game mail, which also mentions storing the Dream Shard and using it for progressing quests—a temporary fix to the Dream Shard spawn issue.
