Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is here at last and it has brought us some exciting new weapons, locations, and features! There are 4 shiny new chrome places to visit, one with a big boss battle- so beware! In these chromified locations are one new item to find and use- the Chrome Splash. Finding and Using Chrome Splash in Fortnite
Chrome Splash is a new epic-rarity throwable item in Fortnite. It can be used like Chug Splash by throwing it at your character’s feet. This makes you, and items hit by Chrome Splash liquid, turn to chrome- ‘chromified’.
When you are chromified you have the ability to turn into a ball of chrome. You can do this by sprinting, and stop being a ball by using the sprint action button again (on Xbox you do this by pressing in the left thumbstick).
As a ball you can boost into and through walls by double jumping. The only walls you cannot dash through are vault walls and floors. When in ball form you can also speed along pretty quickly- not unlike when we could sand tunnel in previous seasons!

Chrome Splash can also be used on walls, chests, and most items to make them chromified. Chrome walls can be walked through!
If you throw it onto an item such as a tree, you can then harvest that tree for more Chrome Splash. Chrome Splash can be found by destroying any chromified objects- these can be ones that already exist in the four chrome locations, or ones made by splashing them with Chrome Splash. They also come out of Chrome Chests- ones either made or found in the chrome locations.
