Bottom line is that the game is an improved and fun sequel compared to the first game but comes at a higher performance cost. There’s a lot to do in the game, most of which will see you finding resources like Silky Sand. So in this article, we’ll be guiding you on how to get Silky Sand in Slime Rancher 2.

How to Get Silky Sand in Slime Rancher 2

Like many other games today with rare resources and materials that players need to find before they can use to craft some important material, Silky Sand is one of the rare materials in Slime Rancher 2.

It can be used to craft various recipes and is not very easy to harvest because of where it is located. There is an extensive list of gadgets and upgrades you can prepare or craft in Slime Rangers 2 that are essential to helping you explore the world and wrangle any dangerous creatures you come across.

So to get your hands on Silky Sand, you’ll need to have the Resource Harvester upgrade. This is because Silky Sand is an advanced crafting material, other than a smooth, refined collection of sand that can be used to craft recipes at the Refinery.

After you’ve acquired the Resource Harvester upgrade, you can then head into the Starlight Strand region. Upon discovering your region, you should be prepared to fight off hostile Slimes that will stand in your way. Try as much as you can to avoid the feral Slimes and keep your eyes peeled for mud geysers around the rock edges of the island.

You can also use the Harvester to absorb the geyser and get yourself the Silky Sand. The Silky Sand can also be used to craft decorations as well as Extra Tanks in the Fabricator. These Extra Tanks will allow you to hold more items whilst exploring the open world of Slime Rancher 2.
