All About Fire Slimes in Slime Rancher 2
Previously Fire Slimes could be found in the Glass Desert during Solar Anomalies, but in Slime Rancher 2 things are a bit different. Now players can find these fiery creatures in the lava pools at Ember Valley.
Ember Valley is home to quite a few other Slimes, including some Gordos. In fact, to enter this place, you must feed feed a Pink Gordo until it pops, unlocking a geyser which transports you to a platform. From there you you can activate a mechanism and find the portal to Ember Valley. The area is, as expected, full of lava pools and rivers. Batty Gordo, Crystal Gordo, Boom Gordo, and Rock Gordos can also be found here.

Fire Slimes have a favourite food just like any other Slime. They actually love any food as long as it has been cooked until it is burnt to a crisp! You can burn this food in the incinerator which has an Ash Trough Upgrade.
For your Fire Slimes to survive they must live in ash or lava. Of course you cannot transport the lava back to your place, so you will have to make sure you have an Ash Trough to keep your Fire Slimes in. When you shoot food in the trough it will turn to ash and the Fire Slimes can produce Plorts.
There is a lava pool piece of decor called a Magma Pool that you can keep your Fire Slimes in but they have to be fed ash to create Plorts. If you want them to create plenty of Plorts it is best to just keep them in the Ash Trough.

Beware– your Fire Slimes can hurt and destroy Chickadoos, and any Slime that touches one of these slimy fireballs will be agitated and jump back in alarm! You can temporarily extinguish a Fire Slime by splashing it with water. Be careful though, water will completely burst a Fire Plort.
We hope that has helped you wrangle and breed some of these exciting slimes! Next up, why not find out what a Largo Slime is and what it does in Slime Rancher 2? Good luck and happy farming!
