Llamas have been a part of Fortnite since forever, but only recently have they turned from ‘container’ to ‘animal’. Supply Llamas used to be stationary containers of loot, however now they run about making noises and ‘pooping’ out materials, ammo and healing items. If destroyed, they can give a whole lot more! Find out below how to find Supply Llamas in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
Finding and Using Supply Llamas in Fortnite
Supply Llamas have changed since their introduction in season 3 as mere containers for loot. They now make noises to alert players to their position, and run when players are near. Ammo, materials and healing items are dropped as they run about, and if a player deals enough damage they can explode safely and leave amazing loot behind.
Supply Llamas have 1500 HP, so dealing damage to them enough to make them drop everything they hold can take some effort. If you do not destroy them in time they will eventually disappear, leaving a rift behind.

Only 5 Supply Llamas spawn into each match, and they will be in any random place on the map, so finding one can be tricky. It is really all down to luck. They are easier to see against green grass so as you glide in, check out the grassy areas first for a purple llama shape below.
Once you have landed and you are still trying to find a Llama, listen out for their distinctive noise. It is like a strange squawking neigh. Once you see a Supply Llama you should start shooting at it as they do not stay around for long. When they fall down, dizzy, blast them with a quick-fire weapon like an SMG or burst rifle to deal a lot of damage while they cannot move.

Supply Llamas can end up dropping a lot of materials (only in build mode), ammo, and healing items including a Chug Cannon!
