Overwatch 2’s launch was a disaster as the game was plagued with many issues, and the servers got DDoS attacks from random people. And now, it’s not even two full weeks since Overwatch 2’s launch, and players are encountering issues with the new Ranked System. There are a ton of players who are stuck in Bronze V, the lowest ranking, in Overwatch 2. And even after winning matches and fulfilling the new ranked system criteria, they are still stuck with Bronze V and no rank-ups. It raises many questions, and one of them is how to get out of Bronze in Overwatch 2.
How to Get Out of Bronze in Overwatch 2
Typically, to get out of Bronze V in Overwatch 2, you need seven or more wins as the new Competitive system adjusts your rank “every seven wins, or 20 losses/tie.” But, even after winning 14 straight matches, players still find themselves stuck in Bronze V. So far, Blizzard has given no official statement on this issue.
We can derive three things from players’ problems while ranking up in Overwatch 2. First—being stuck in Bronze even after winning matches is a bug that went unnoticed by Blizzard during playtesting. Secondly, Blizzard’s new Competitive Rank Decay system is faulty or way too harsh and affects the ranks of players even if they are winning ranked matches and playing daily.
And at last, Blizzard has failed to fully explain the ranked system in Overwatch 2, and some hidden mechanics are in place to calculate your actual rank. So, even when you win matches, as per the Competitive system, you are not qualified enough to rank up.
For now, there is only one thing you can do to get out of Bronze in Overwatch 2. And that is to keep playing and winning matches. Keep this in mind! New players and players who haven’t played Overwatch ranked for the last few seasons will need more than 7 to 20 wins to rank up from Bronze V. If this Bronze issue is a bug in actual, Blizzard will soon acknowledge it and release a statement or piece of information along with a fix.Â
