Fire Emblem Engage is the newest entry in the popular Fire Emblem franchise after Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which was launched back in 2019. This new title delivers a more combat-focused experience than its predecessor.
There are many role-playing strategy games you can play on the Nintendo Switch, and the Fire Emblem franchise is one of the leading strategy series due to a variety of reasons, including its wide range of characters. However, does Fire Emblem Engage have multiple endings? You can find out in this article.
Does Fire Emblem Engage Have Multiple Endings?
Unlike Three Houses which gives players too many choice patterns, Engage is slightly more straightforward and doesn’t exactly allow players the chance to impact the game’s story themselves. The time it takes to complete the main story in Fire Emblem Engage is quite similar to previous games, but players won’t have to go through it several times just to see everything the story has to offer.
To put it more simply, no, Fire Emblem Engage does not have multiple endings. The game only has one ending, as there are no split paths in the narrative. And unlike Three Houses, the previous Fire Emblem game, that offers up to four different endings, Engage only has one narrative and it can only end one way.
While this might let some players down, especially those who enjoy playing games with multiple endings, having a single ending isn’t all bad, especially with a game in the Fire Emblem franchise.
What About Secret Endings?
No, there are no secret endings in Fire Emblem Engage either. The game’s mainline story of Alear and their quest to help retrieve the Emblem Rings and defeat the Fell Dragon can only end in one way, regardless of how you choose to play it.
And this isn’t to say that your choice doesn’t impact the story. You can still discover hidden scenes between Alear and different companions, depending on the bonds you strengthen, for example. It simply means that you don’t need to replay it several times to get the full story.
