With their cinematic value and the ability to push the story forward, cutscenes are loved by many video game fans. On the other hand, some people find it tedious to have to wait for these scenes to end before they get to start playing.
Forspoken, the action RPG developed by Luminous Productions and Square Enix, has already been criticized on several fronts, with one of them being the dialogue between Frey and Cuff and the lengthy cutscenes.
If you’re wondering how to skip cutscenes in Forspoken and minimize interruptions on your gameplay, this is the guide for you.

Can You Skip Cutscenes in Forspoken?
Luckily, if you just want to be left to explore Athia on your own, without paying much attention to the dialogues and story, you can speed up in-engine cutscenes by hitting X on your PS5 controller. That makes dialogue text load more quickly.
You can also skip the cinematic cutscenes if you pause the game, hitting ESC on PC or the Options button on PS5, and choose Skip. If you just want to go through the dialogue faster than it loads on its own, you can use the same method for this type of cutscene as the one for in-engine cutscenes.

How to Turn Off Cuff in Forspoken
In case the banter between Cuff and Frey as they explore the huge open world is not entertaining for you, you can also make use of the game’s settings to minimize how much Cuff pesters you with its snarky comments.
Open the Accessibility Settings within the Settings menu, locate the Cuff Settings section, and turn Cuff Chat Frequency to Minimal. This way, you will only hear the dialogue that is necessary to progress in the story.
If you get bored and start missing Cuff, you can always jump back into the Settings menu and choose one of the other options—Low, Default, or High.
And that covers the matter of how to skip cutscenes in Forspoken and minimize Cuff’s comments. Check out our other guides on the section dedicated to the game.
