Guide to purchasing potions and recipes in Hogwarts Legacy
To purchase potions and recipes, you must first complete the sixth main quest, “Welcome to Hogsmeade,” and unlock Hogsmeade. This area has multiple shops you can unlock as you play the game, like J. Pippin’s Potions store, which you have access to from the start. It is located on the northeast side of Hogsmeade.
Enter J. Pippin’s Potions store and talk to Parry Pippin to purchase potions and recipes. Along with these, you can also buy various of the unique ingredients for potions from this store in Hogwarts Legacy. To buy potions or potion recipes, first you have to get some galleons, which are the in-game currency.
The cost of buying potions in Hogwarts Legacy can be quite steep, making it an unattractive option for many players. The better alternative is to purchase potion recipes and become a skilled brewer, making the potions yourself to save money. You will need to use the Potion Station in the Potion classroom to make potions.
