This quest will be assigned to you by Gareth Weasley, an amateur who is hellbent on trying just about any recipe to improve his magic skills. Once you complete the quests for the Herbology and Potions classes, you should meet Gareth near the Great Hall Floo Flame fast travel point and speak to him. He will then ask you to gather some components from Hogsmeade to make a concoction.

The first thing you need to do to complete this quest is to find a one-eyed witch statue. So follow the quest route and search the location by heading up the stairs, where you will find the statue after the first set of stairs in the hallway that’s connected to the grand stairwell. Now interact with the statue and a cutscene will show you entering the secret passageway.

After entering the passageway, you will find a broken lift, which you have to fix by using Reparo. Once fixed, activate it, and it should take you further down into the passageway. When you reach the bottom, go behind the lift, and you will find a chest; then, walk a bit more, and you will see a platform. Use your Levioso spell on it to reach the ledge, then climb up the ledge to keep moving forward.

Upon climbing up the ledge, you will see a crossroads. There, you simply need to take the right path and use Levioso on the platform once again to raise it and jump the gap. Use Reparo on the broken platform, then use Levioso to raise it and jump the second gap as well. It gets a bit tricky here.

After you’ve successfully bridged the two gaps, you will stumble upon spider webs, but you can simply use Incendio to burn the webs and clear the path, then use Reparo to fix the broken platform. However, before lifting the platform, be sure to use Accio on the mechanism above it, so the platform can be caught using the mechanism.

Now simply head further into the chamber until you get to a bridge, then cast the Incendio spell on the braziers once again on the other side of the bridge to open the door. Go through the door and interact with the ladder to enter Honeydukes.

Once you’re in, search the Honeydukes basement for the Billywig Stings. After finding them, go back to Gareth by simply tracing your path back to the passageway or using fast-travel with the Floo Flames to complete the “Dissending For Sweets” quest.
