Use Photolink to Make Your Own Widgets and Customize Your iPhone

This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Photolink is the sort of app that is going to make your life a lot easier. It’s out right now on the App Store, and it’s chock full of interesting features that are going to let you take control of your iPhone in brand new and exciting ways.

Using Photolink you can create personalised widgets that give you all the information you need at your fingertips. And a simple system lets you use your own photos in the widgets, resizing them with ease.

Sticking your own photo in the widget will let you keep what you need to hand. Got some notes you’re going to need to keep checking? Well stick them in a widget and you’re never more than a swipe and a tap away from them.

There’s more to the app than that though. You can connect the widget to a website of your choice. The app will then update when the website does, letting you keep up to date with whatever’s important to you.

Need to keep track of stocks and shares? Well you can do that. Want to make sure you know exactly what’s going on in the world? Then link the widget up to a news site and you’ll always be up to date.

You can also use the widgets to bookmark your favourite sites. And using a clever caching system, you’ll be able to read them even when you’re offline.

There’s plenty more going on in Photolink as well. It’s brilliantly designed, and once you get going with it you’re going to wonder how you ever managed without it.

Best of all, it’s free as well. You can grab the app right now for nothing, although the free version is ad-supported. A couple of IAPs will let you get rid of the ads, as well as giving you access to multiple widgets. And we reckon it’s well worth it.

You can download Photolink on iOS now.
