The Last Sarkorians, the latest DLC for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, brings a new area for exploration, a new player class with great abilities, and a new possible love interest in Ulbrig Olesk.
If you’re into burly ginger warriors with a soft side who can transform into griffons, you may want to try to woo him regardless of the gender of your character. And if you know what to say and when to say it, you will get him to fall in love with you madly.
This guide will show you how to romance Ulbrig in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, so you can get your happy ending after defeating some new enemies.
How to romance Ulbrig in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous The Last Sarkorians
When you first get a chance to interact, sit next to Ulbrig and drink to the memory of the fallen. Empathize with him and tell him that he is not alone, then touch his face and tell him that there’s someone close by who needs him. He will pull away, but don’t get discouraged.
In the Garden of the Gods
When you get to the Garden of the Gods, you can exhaust all dialogue options to learn more about the place you reached. When he asks you whether you should try the food, ask him more about what the Garden of the Gods is. After that, you can go through the next three dialogue options to learn why the place is empty, comment on how eating food in fairy tales usually ends, and wonder why you two are there alone. After that, choose to sit down—don’t ask about leaving the place or looking around.
After he reminisces about your first interaction, you can ask him why he rejected you that time, then you can reprimand him slightly about making decisions in his head for both of you. Finish by asking, “In what? Say it, now that you’ve started.” Then you should pretty much tell him to hug you and kiss him. After some alone time between you two, you should tell him not to be sad—it’s all good as long as you are together.
Ulbrig gets mad
In the next instance, before you head back to the mortal world, Ulbrig asks you for an explanation, and you should choose the first option asking for clarifications. Ulbrig will get quite worked up about how genuine your connection was, and you should tell him that Areelu deceived all of you.
It will then seem that Ulbrig will unavoidably leave, but you should try to stop him by saying that you need each other, when you get the chance. When he asks for reassurance, you should explain that your army is built on trust and that anyone who doesn’t trust you can leave. That will make Ulbrig step back.
Playing with griffons
When you meet the griffons, you can use the first two dialogue options to learn more about them, and finalize this exchange by stroking one of the beasts. Ulbrig will mention they’re back thanks to you, so choose the last dialogue option, which confirms the strength of your love. When he transports you back to the Garden of the Gods, thank him and say that it is wonderful. Then, Ulbrig will propose, and, of course, you will say yes. When he accepts his reality, you should embrace him and ask him to stay there for a while.
The last battle
When you’re about to engage the enemy at the end and Ulbrig asks if you’re ready, you should say that you’re ready for anything with him by your side. Then, ask him what he plans to do after all the battling. Your next choice should be “Maybe it would have been better never to build Threshold at all?” and then “Nothing. They’d be free to live in peace.” After that, remind him that you’re fighting against demons, not fey, and conclude with “And now we fight.”
In the end, you will learn what Ulbrig’s and your relationship looks like after the war, but there’s a lot to do before that. Now, get to romancing and check out some of our build recommendations in our Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous dedicated section.
