In the original Pokémon games, the fossil Pokémon are ancient creatures once lost to time, now reborn through modern specialized machines. The fossil Pokémon return in the Minecraft: Java Edition mod Cobblemon, but this time without the need for the fancy science machines. Here is how to get fossil Pokémon in Cobblemon.
Getting all fossil Pokémon in Cobblemon
The fossil Pokémon from the first generation are back in Cobblemon, but the later fossil Pokémon are not implemented yet. You do not have to go through the complicated process of finding the fossil and restoring it back to life; you can simply find fossil Pokémon roaming the wilds now.
As of Cobblemon’s latest version, there are three fossil Pokémon in the game: Omanyte, Kabuto, and Aerodactyl. More fossil Pokémon will probably be added in future updates.
How to get Omanyte
Omanyte can be found in Lush biomes, during any time of day, with an increased spawn rate when it is raining. You find them scuttling around on land or splashing in shallow waters.
Omanyte belongs to the rare bucket group, which means you will probably have to look around for a while before you find one. Omanyte evolves into Omastar once it is high enough level.

How to get Kabuto
Kabuto can be found in Lush biomes, during any time of day, with an increased spawn rate when it is raining. You find them scuttling around on land or splashing in shallow waters.
Kabuto also belongs to the rare bucket group, and it evolves into Kabutops once it is high enough level.
How to get Aerodactyl
Aerodactyl can be found in Lush biomes, during any time of day and weather. You find them walking around on land and sometimes hovering around. You cannot miss them due to their incredible size—these guys tower over all the other Pokémon!
Aerodactyl also belongs to the rare bucket group. Sadly, Aerodactyl does not have an evolved form. Be sure to check out our other guides on Cobblemon for more tips and tricks.
