There are a variety of mushroom species you can find in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and cooking with them can lead to a variety of helpful buffs. The Ironshroom is known for its tough cap, and incorporating it into a dish infuses it with the same signature hardiness. If you are looking to expand your cookbook, we can show you where to find Ironshrooms in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Finding Ironshrooms in Tears of the Kingdom
Ironshrooms are mushrooms that are distinguished by their large, gray caps. Cooking with an Ironshroom results in a dish that grants you a temporary defense bonus, which can be useful if you find yourself taking too much damage.
Like most mushrooms, you can find Ironshrooms primarily growing near the base of trees, besides large rocks, and next to hillsides. Mushrooms love to grow in corners and tight spots, away from direct exposure. Make sure to look behind and beneath trees and objects to find more mushrooms.

We are not sure if they changed up how Ironshrooms spawn, but they seem to be a little harder to find in this game compared to Breath of the Wild. With that said, we had the most luck finding Ironshrooms scouring the Necluda region.
Both West Necluda and East Necluda house some Ironshrooms. You want to look around the small patches of forests, as they are mostly found around there. Necluda is primarily made up of hilly mountainsides, but there are rarely any Ironshrooms sitting on high mountains, so stick to the lower ground.
Faron also has some Ironshrooms, but only in the northern side of it. If you go too far south, you hit the tropical side of Faron, where you can find lots of Mighty Bananas. Stay close to the northern edge, as it hugs the Necluda region.
