The relaxing game that gives you the chance to befriend various cute animals and make friends with other players, while playing at your own pace is finally here! And apparently everybody wanted in, causing launch-day server problems, as we’ve discussed already here.

But we’re here today to focus on other extremely important things, such as getting the most out of Nintendo’s mobile game. So let’s not waste any time and just do so in our Animal Crossing Pocket Camp tips and tricks article.

Collect everything you can

Animal Crossing Tips

You shouldn’t really worry about filling up an inventory in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. Instead, you should collect all items you see, whenever you see them. These items will be needed eventually in order to complete quests or requests, so it’s best to be prepared.

Try tapping everything, because not all items that you can collect are obvious (at least not for first time players). So spend some time in each new area and find out which things can be collected and then get them as soon as they’re available.

This advice also goes for butterflies, bugs and fish: you need to catch as many as possible, too… so never waste an opportunity to get some. If you want to catch them in bulk, use the special items like the fish nets or honey jar.

Keep an eye on the rotating animals

There are 40 animals available in the game currently and your goal is to befriend them all. However, not all animals will be present in your area at all times. Instead, there’s a rotation schedule in place, switching them between areas and removing some animals while adding others.

These rotations happen at 3 hour intervals, meaning that you basically have 3 hour periods in which you can interact with them all and complete all their requests.

Once an animal runs out of request, you have to wait for them to be replaced or rotated before you can complete more quests for them.

Animal Crossing Tips 1

You can keep an eye on the rotating animals and who’s coming where by tapping the map in the game and looking at the “moving in” timer at the bottom of the screen for each region.

It doesn’t really matter who is getting where – your goal is to keep up with the rotation period and complete all the requests for all the animals in all areas.

How to get more requests

If you want to get even more requests that the three you get per 3 hours from new animals, you can simply call them to your campsite. The animals at the campsite won’t go away and they will have a new request for you each hour.

It’s up for you to decide which approach gives you best results in terms of requests you can complete each day.

Constantly craft items

As they usually take quite some time to complete, it’s a good idea to constantly craft items. Even if you don’t really need anything, craft items and then sell them in the market. This should be done at all times!

Animal Crossing Tips 3

Complete the Goals

You have two sets of goals: Limited time and Stretch Goals. Although both are important, the latter are extremely important, as they usually reward you with otherwise hard to get Leaf Tickets, the premium currency in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. Keep an eye on the requests and make sure that you complete the goals.

Make sure to check our dedicated guide if you want to know more about how to get Leaf Tickets in Animal Crossing for mobile.

Collect your rewards!

Many of the rewards that you get in the game have to be collected from the mailbox. Although they usually spend a lot of time waiting to be collected (a month, to be specific), it doesn’t hurt to check out your mail box often and collect everything you have. The mail box is the umbrella icon in the menu.

What’s the best way to spend Leaf Tickets?

Since they are so difficult to get, it’s pretty important to make sure that you only spend the in-game premium currency on things that really matter.

And my recommendation is to spend them on increasing the number of crafting spots available on your camp and extra inventory slots – or even Market Slots if you have a lot of them left over.

Spending the hard earned premium currency on consumables is not really worthwhile, unless you plan to spend real life money to keep the Leaf Ticket stocks going!

Animal Crossing Tips 4

How to invite all animals over

In order to be able to successfully invite an animal over to your campsite, you will need to have a complete set of furniture that the animal wants. Once you have the required pieces of furniture, you can call them over and they will accept.

The good thing is that any animal that has accepted your invitation no longer has the furniture requirements.

This means that you can get rid of it: either store it in your inventory or sell it if you don’t want it. It’s best to keep it in your inventory though because other animals might require that particular piece in the future.

These would be our Animal Crossing Pocket Camp tips and tricks. They are aimed mostly at beginner players, but we’re hoping that even more experienced ones who are already familiar with the franchise had a thing or two to learn.

As always, if you have some extra bits of advice yourself – or any questions – don’t hesitate to comment below and let us all know!
