Mad Skills BMX 2 is all about timing so we’ll help you that along with some advanced control techniques. Let’s get started with our Mad Skills BMX 2 cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

Level up to level 3 to beat Shrimp!

Shrimp is the first boss you’ll be able to challenge after clearing the first set of tracks. Shrimp, while being a teenage punk, is actually pretty good on his bike and you will definitely have some trouble with him. Even if you upgrade the starter bike all the way you’ll still struggle, so we recommend leveling up to at least level 3 before taking him on.

Why? At level 3 you’re awarded 10 rockets for free. Rockets are premium items that you can use during races. You’ll strap one onto your back and for a couple of seconds you’ll get a big speed boost. These are almost mandatory for beating Shrimp.

Master the bike controls!

When it comes down to it, Mad Skills BMX 2 is all about timing and control. How much finesse you put into your biking controlling will directly determine how fast you go during the race.

When crouching to gain more speed, try to be exact with your timing. As soon as you stop going downhill and you hit a flat stretch of the track, stop crouching. Crouching while on a straightaway will slow you down overall, as you only gain speed on downhill slopes.

When you’re mid-air, don’t forget that you can hold down the crouch button to drop faster. This can be useful when you’ve gotten too much air and you want to hit a downward slope instead of going right over it.

Jump onto slopes!

If you jump onto a downhill slope as you’re approaching it, you’ll actually gain more starting speed. This is really helpful on tracks that have roller sections that transition into big downhill stretches, as you’ll have a lot of opportunities to gain some air from the jumps.

Get as much downhill speed as you can!

The main thing to takeaway from our tips and tricks is to understand one thing: your main source of speed is crouching down slopes. One more thing to keep in mind is that you should start crouching from the highest point – right when the slope starts essentially. This is why it’s important to get in the habit of fast-dropping (crouching while midair) so that you don’t miss out on slope.

The more of the slope you can crouch down, the more speed you’ll gain overall, and this is key to getting great times and beating quick opponents.
